Who is the Worst Bollywood Actor Ever?
According to a famous American actor, James Byron Dean, “Being a good actor isn’t easy”. If you watch a few actors in some of the new movies carefully, you will often find yourself asking why these actors are even there in the movie industry. Most of the modern age so-called actors become popular by simply fooling the audience in the name of acting. They exist in the movie industry due to their numerous connections with some of the popular directors and producers. Some exist simply because they are lucky.
Worst Bollywood Actors List
When you talk about the movie industry, there are basically two types of actors. Some that are really good at acting and some that are useless when it comes to acting skills. Here is a list of some of the worst actors of Bollywood when it comes to pure acting skills.
#1 – Salman Khan
According to Nawazuddin Siddiqui, a talented Bollywood actor, there are basically three types of actors – good actors, bad actors, and Salman Khan. When it comes to Salman, he is truly from a completely different class. Although he is one of the worst actors in the industry, Salman has never failed to produce a stellar box office run to his range of movies. Take a look at some of the older movies of the actor. Movies like Saajan, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, and Maine Pyar Kiya would definitely make you fall in love with Salman. This is also a popular reason for the large fan base that he enjoys. However, if you take a look at some of the Salman Khan movies of recent times, such as Shadi Karke Phas Gaya, Ready, Dabangg, and God Tussi Great Ho, you will notice that these have an extremely pathetic storyline. He has continued to act in roles that demand him to work in a romancing, dancing, and fighting role.
#2 – Bobby Deol
He is the second son of the Bollywood mega-star Dharmendra and the younger brother of Sunny Deol, who is another mega-star of the industry. However, when it comes to stardom, Bobby could not even manage to earn a fraction of his father’s or brother’s popularity. Although Bobby remained in the industry for around 2 decades and started off with his debut movie Barsaat, which was a success at the box office, he could hardly manage to keep up with the changing times. When it comes to acting skills, he has nothing to be proud of, which eventually led to his downfall in Bollywood. There was a time when Bobby delivered several solo-hit movies such as Gupt, Soldier, and Bichhoo. However, the audience soon forgot about him and he disappeared from the industry for almost 4 years. Although he made a comeback with the movie Race 3, the future still appears dark for him.
#3 – John Abraham
He is one of those modest, humble, and hot actors of Bollywood. However, when it comes to acting skills he surely lacks a punch. Often termed as an actor with a wooden face, John fails miserably when it comes to facial expressions. Although he has a good physique and can easily flaunt his body in the movies, John is often overshadowed by his co-actors such as Nana Patekar in Taxi Number 9211 and Akshay Kumar in Garam Masala. Thankfully, John has managed to improve his choice of movies in recent times. He is often seen in movies that demand serious roles such as Force 2, No Smoking, Madras Café, and Parmanu. Although he has proved his acting skills in such movies, he fails miserably in movies of other genres such as comedy.
#4 – Imran Khan
He got a chance to work in the Bollywood industry since he is the nephew of the popular actor Aamir Khan. Imran did start off with several successful movies such as Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan, and Delhi Belly. However, he started to struggle with the movie Luck. Imran does have the charming looks like his uncle, however, fails miserably when it comes to his acting skills. His immature acting brought about his downfall. He worked in several movies after Luck such as Kidnap, Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu, and Break Ke Baad. However, he could not prove himself in the industry and gradually vanished into thin air.
#5 – Tusshar Kapoor
He is one of those Bollywood actors who has a strong connection with the industry. Although he is the son of the popular and highly skilled actor Jeetendra, Tusshar failed to carve a niche for himself in Bollywood. He has worked in multiple movies of different genres such as Khakee, Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, Kya Kool Hai Hum, and Shooutout at Lokhandwala. However, his lack of acting skills did not help him reach at par with his father’s popularity. He is often appreciated for his goofy antics in the Golmaal series, probably because he has not a single dialogue.
#6 – Zayed Khan
Even after getting multiple opportunities to prove himself as an actor in Bollywood, Zayed failed miserably. He has worked alongside several big names in the Bollywood industry in many movies. However, he tasted some success with the multi-starrer Main Hoon Naa, which also had Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. This, obviously, saved the audience from being tortured by his terrible acting skills. Even though he is one of the star kids of the industry, Zayed could not live up to the expectations of the audiences.
#7 – Uday Chopra
If you watch Uday act, you will feel like banging your head against the wall. Although his debut movie, Mohabbatein, was a major success, the movie also had 2 mega-stars in the form of Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan who literally helped the movie become a major success at the box office. However, you will not be saved from his dead expressions and overacting if you watch the Dhoom series of movies. You will surely feel as if you have been put in a torturous cell.
