Rohan Sippy tricked Akshay Kumar to sign Chandni Chowk to China
Now this is something which we haven’t heard before. Producer Rohan Sippy designed a movie poster with Akshay in complete Chinese attire before actually signing him for the film.
It is believed that Rohan Sippy thought of Akshay Kumar for the main lead role when he first heard storyline of Chandani Chowk To China from his writer Shridhar Raghavan. Unfortunately Akshay had no dates to sign that film. But Rohan did not want to compromise on as he wanted Akshay to do it.
“Rohan along with his writer Shridhar Raghavan got the poster of CC2C done. He met Akshay and showed the movie poster of CC2C. Interestingly Akki was completely impressed by its movie poster and story line that he decided to adjust his dates for this film.” says a unit hand.
It is learnt that Akshay added his experience in the film which is now called as semi-autobiographical film on Akshay’s life. Apparently Rohan signed Akshay first later he signed Director Nikhil Advani and leading lady Deepika Padukone.
The film is all set for January 16th release date.
