Rajesh Khanna joins the rank of soft porn films
Ever wondered who are the actors that star in films like BASANTI KI SHAADI, CHAMPA KA JADOO, EK NAYI JAWAANI and the likes? Well, most of these are nameless faces who are seen in a slew of soft porn films but never quite make it to the big league. But what happens when a big name opts for doing just the opposite? He willfully joins the league and makes his foray into C-Grade cinema in spite of being a superstar for close to a decade. Well, no prizes for guessing that the film we are talking about is WAFAA and the man in question – Rajesh Khanna.
So far, all the brickbats coming the way of WAFAA were based on the promos that were unleashed before the film’s release. The film, as expected, bit the dust and resulted in Rajesh Khanna loosing that one last fan who would have been clinging on him from the nostalgia standpoint.
However, it seems there is hope that he may get a new range of fan base in next few weeks courtesy the DVD of WAFAA which has just been released. The fans which we are talking about? Well, the ones who love their dose of films as mentioned above. And that’s because WAFAA comes in a 3-in-1 DVD pack that sees two other titles that go as ANGADAEE and hold your breath EK BAAR DHOL BAJAO NA (yes, you read it right).
Well, if the titles are not good indication enough then one look at the publicity stills of these two C-grade movies sharing DVD cover space with Rajesh Khanna leaves nothing to imagination. With women all around him in their two-pieces and towels that reveal more than covering, Rajesh Khanna finds himself in an altogether new zone with the arrival of WAFAA DVD.
While those who missed out seeing him on the big screen, there is a fair dose of soft porn in the offering with this 3-in-1 pack. Wonder how the ex-superstar would be defending his choice of signing the film now with such DVD packaging that doesn’t leave any doubts whatsoever about the film’s content.

Pure fabricated and manipulated review. Neither the film is so low standard nor the performances of the Super Star Rajesh Khanna. Moreover, Super Star Rajesh Khanna is great in Wafaa. Simply class of its own. He is what he was – acting and mannerism cannot change – he chose wrong vehicles to return may be…..but good to see him back. Atleast he is working.
Super Star Rajesh Khanna has never got the tag of having done overacting in any film so far.
Super Star Rajesh had the least number of flops in his career spanning 25 yrs.
PEOPLE ADMIRE HIM THE MOST FOR HAVING GIVEN HIGH QUALITY FILMS CONTINUOUSLY FROM 1969 TILL NOW.BUT REALLY SPEAKING HAD THE 7 BADLY MADE FILMS between 1976-78 never been accepted by super rajesh khanna he would have never gave a chance for this kind of misconception.
RAJESH KHANNA WAS SUPER STAR AND HE IS I DONT THINK HE NEED TO JOIN THIRD CLASS MOVIES.
Acting of Rajesh Khanna is superb in this film, which no other indian actor can perform so perfectly.
Those, who call this movie a c grade are the third or forth grade film critics or media reporters, who don’t know ABCD of the films and are hired/sold their soul. We doubt and very seriously question on their ability.
Script of wafaa is not good but the theme of film is very good and it gives a positive message. Rajesh Khanaa’s acting was perfect and very best, but the direction of the film is not well. this film would have been made better with some good directors .

I have seen the film of Rajesh Khanna. it is a good film but the direction is weak.
Performance of Rajesh Khanna is excellent. He should do more films, which will be true gems.
