Nokia 15th Annual STAR Screen Awards
The Nokia 15th (is it 15th) Annual Star Screen Awards is the first Awards ceremony in India in the year 2009. The biggest night for honoring excellence in cinema is here and the film fraternity is all set to celebrate it in grand style. The Nokia 15th Annual Star Screen Awards commemorates and rewards the people behind putting the biggest and the most remarkable pieces of cinematic entertainment in the year 2008. This will be aired exclusively on India’s leading Hindi General Entertainment Channel, Star Plus on January 25 at….pm. The hosts for the evening are Farah Khan, Sajid Khan & Shreyas Talpade.

The Red Carpet is decked up to witness the most spectacular Awards nite. This year, the Red Carpet is designed as a Box Office Hall of Fame. All the stars walked the RED Carpet before the inauguration of the final awards night. I watched the 15th Nokia-Screen awards on Star Plus..on 25th Jan ‘2009 and was shocked to see the disgusting.cheap..gimmicks and comments made by the presenters of the show Sajid Khan & Farah Khan.
I am sure the organizers of the show will never make this mistake again..which has not only belittled the show but also the award winners, guests , the audience and the viewers worldwide.
Kudos to Ashutosh for his remarks against the show and its presenters …which I am sure voiced the opinion of viewers worldwide.

Hat’s off to Akshoy. I think this award means anything in comparison to others prestigious awards. Asutosh embarrassed the entire crew of him team. Personality is the main thing which he didn’t keep their. So, he digested the abusive word from the host instead of awards.

I agree with “jst some1″ 25th Jan – I think the worst losers are the fans (some with genuine dissapointment) – if their favourite does not win then everything else is wrong, including hosts and other winners! I guess I too am a loser as I would have liked Ghajini to have taken more awards. I think Amir was phenomenal and so was Hrithik. However, I cannot agree that SRK deserved it for Rab Ne – there was nothing extraordinary to his acting in this movie (aside from him looking weird!). He has talent no doubt but both Amir and Hrithik are more versatile actors – e.g. SRK was not good in a comic role in Duplicate – the dialogue was funny but not him!! So what if Ghajini is a Tamil remake – SRK’s Billu B is also one.
Asin was a brilliant choice but although Farhan was excellent, I think Imraan or the guy (not sure of name) from Aamir were more deserving – so was Ashwini for best villian (a natural be it comedy in Golmaal or villian in Phoonk). Priyanka deserves a win but I think Kajol was outstanding and more deserving. Ah well, we can all have our favourites but unfortunately we can’t all be judges so let’s just enjoy our preferred choices.
As for Sajid/Farah – well, Farah did warn everyone to take everything with, not a pinch, but a BAG of salt so I think it should have been accepted in the spirit intended. What about Boman/Sreyas taking the mickey out of Amir at last year’s IIFA (for Taare Zameen)? The movie was not even nominated for anything at that awards despite being the best to date – highly realistic! TV hosts are noted for their snide remarks and antics – even with the public – so I personally don’t see why the stars should feel disrespected (if they did) – I also think this is what draws the curious human nature to watch shows like these!!!

Sajid sucks, He & Farah were really at there lowest standards.
They can go back & make “B” grade movies as there father did & move of the main stream cinema.They should not be allowed in main class cinemas & function.
Star Screen Awards need to change the standard, qulity and anchors of show, This kind of awards would se all over the world.
We had the misfortune of sitting through and watching the useless so called jokes and shameless behaviour of Sajid “who?” and Farah “who?”. There was no class in the MCs and they dropped the whole show to the level of the gutter.
These two “characters” should never be allowed to host a show of the caliber where such high awards are given. Nokia organizers please have some mercy on the audience that are watching the awards and not invite these type of people to host your shows in the future (they make me puke).
We all cheered when one soul (Mr.Ashutosh) stood up and echoed our feelings..Thank You Ashuji..
