Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi makes a whopping 90 crore business in first week
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, which released worldwide on December 12th 2008, has grossed Rs. 90 crores worldwide in its opening week, which is on par with and in some places even higher than two of the highest opening week grossers till date, Om Shanti Om and Singh Is King. The film has also broken all earlier opening week collection records for Yash Raj Films, having surpassed the opening week collections of Dhoom: 2, which is regarded as one of the highest grossing films of all-time.
The total collections for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi in India are around Rs. 42 crores net (i.e. gross collections of Rs. 70 crores). The total gross collections for all overseas markets are over $4 Million (i.e. around Rs. 20 crores).
In the Middle East, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has broken all previous records for first week collections, grossing just under $1.3 million. The previous highest grossing film in the Middle East was Dhoom: 2, which grossed approximately $1.86 million across its entire run. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is on course to break this all-time record going into its second week.
Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has also had a grand opening week across all overseas markets, including the UK, USA, Australia, Europe, Africa, and Asia, and features in the list of the highest grossers for the opening week in most of these territories.

Rab ne is another dumb movies from Murkh Khan. Though he has acted better as Surinder Sinha but once he goes to the stylish Khan everything falls flat. THe actrees is good but probably will be one movie wonder like Gracy Singh. She does not have the looks of Katrina or the oomph or Kareena and with no mentor she will be gone

I am the great fan of SRK. I am surprised that the acting ability of SRK in the movie of RAB NE BANA DI JODI. SRK is one of the big block buster in evergreen. I love SRK much more than other bollywood and hollywood actors. SRK keep it up and never feel thatyou are along we will always supporting you in your every steps.
RNBDJ for me is one of the finest movie of 2008. SRK has done a remarkable job and so to Anushka Sharma . she didn’t seem to me to be a debutant, she was as good as SRK. I really wish that this movie gets nominated for oscars and win it.

But Still I believe that Rab ne.. is far better movie than Gajini. Even Tamil Gajini is not original as its director is saying. I t is totally copied by an English Movie Momento.

RNBJ is a Huge Hit even overseas. Film has crossed 70 crore gross in domestic market in week two and will liekly close at Net 75 to 80 crores, plus an additional 25 to 30 crore from overseas making it the biggest grosser and hit of 2008.
It will take Gajinin another two weeks to blow this record.

amir’s acting in ghajini was superb. but i read on the india box office website that rab ne was unable to beat singh is king. but ghajini smashed all time records. so 2008 was amir’s, then akshay’s then srk’s. and a flop year for salman. hrithik did good too with jodhaa akbar and saif did good with race.
