Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi bookings still just about average
There have been claims that Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi bookings have been extraordinary but we have found out that the bookings as of now for the Shah Rukh Khan starrer aren’t really a patch on his earlier films’ bookings.
The film’s advance bookings opened all over India in both the multiplexes as well as single screen halls yesterday on Wednesday to an average turnout. At some places yes there have been full shows but that’s because of block bookings done by some organizations or corporates.
Manoj Desai of G-7 multiplex tells us, “The bookings as of now are 60% for the weekend for Rab Ne. We hope the collections improve on the day of the release.”
Fun Cinemas AVP programming Bhumika Tewari states that they have an advance booking of 15- 20 percent for the weekend in Mumbai, which is low compared to any other movie of SRK, but after the long lull phase at the box office since the last two three weeks and no advance sales, Rab Ne’s booking is still a ray of hope for them.
PVR Cinemas’ head of programming Prakhar Joshi admits that their block bookings are better than the sale of tickets across the counter at our properties. But he hopes to see a rise by the time the film releases. Cinemax vice president marketing and programming also opines that the block bookings good, but the across the counter sales are average.
A similar low turnout was noticed for SRK’s last release with Yash Raj, Chak De! India but it went on to become a super hit with a great word of mouth spread once it released.
Well the terror strikes do seem to have affected the craze for the latest SRK movie or are they all waiting for Aamir Khan’s Ghajini? -(SAMPURN)

wow RBNDJ has blown me away.. i cant stop myself talkin abt it. It is funny, entertaining, emotional and very, very and extremely sweet movie. Although it was expected to be a mega hit, but seriously take my words for it, it is going to be the biggest hit of 2008. and Im not sure whether Ghajini will be able to compete with RNbDJ.. this movie is very ordinary and close to heart of every ordinary man and GHajini is definitely the opposite.. Those who havent watched it, must go NOW. dont miss it!!!!!! 100% guarantee u’ll love it. (i havent been paid for encouraging ppl to watch it) but just a general gesture :). and btw the trailers of the movie does not show u a glimpse of what the movie is all about.. in fact it confuses u.. so watch it watch it watch it
Today i have seen rab ne and it was totally waist of money and shahrukh look stupid and old.There was no sence in the movie.But Anushka look gorgeous and she act and dance very well.Good luck 4 the girl

It is most BAKWAS movie I have seen lately. We had to endure the torture of watching an extra long unending movie with ugly haggard faces - an extremely weak plot which got annoying with each passing minute.
This movie should be compresed to half its running time and SRK should stop playing lead roles.
It was like watching the no brainer Zee TV serials which drag ON AND ON..
sharukh is very good actor , amir is baccha in fornt of SRK.

Naseema, I think you love saah rukh so much that’s why you are praising saah rukh. I think if you have mind and can user your mind then think a bit that saah rukh always do same things like kisi ki girl friend, kisi ki biwi ko patana aur wo bhi ro dho ke. Amir does all new thinks new acting and different in his each film. In Gajini he is superb and did superb acting. RNBDJ is also good but Gajini is super good.

nice movie great sr rocks and anushka is refreshing and good acting dance fabolous. gajini was also good i cant compare anything with it bzzzzzzzzzzzzz but i can say rab ne bana di jodi =s box office will be a super duper hit.

SRK done well in RNBDJ . i dont think that aamir done well in ghajini which is a remake of ghajini(tamil version).everybody in south india hate ghajini(hindi version) because of poor performance by aamir comparing to soorya (tamil actor who played the roll of ghajini ).
