Fire destroys Jaipan Studio

Havoc at the Jaipan studio was reported due to a major fire that broke out on the 1st of Dec. Luckily no person is said to be harmed but lots of damage has occured. According to sources the incident happened at around 12 noon at Jaipan Studio (a Mona Kapoor Studio) which is next to Future studio where 3-4 shoots were going on. The shoots were of Ghar Ek Sapna (Sahara), DD shows and some other shows. The fire started in the ground floor and then rose up to the higher floors.

According to an eyewitness a major fire was seen as he was talking over the phone. He said that there’s a storeroom and a bigger mixture production factory on the groundfloor and Jaipan Studio happens to be on the 1st and 2nd floor. The fire started from the ground floor and slowly started spreading to the other floors. He said the moment the fire was noticed the first thing done was to remove all the vehicles to make place for the fire brigade vans. After that lots of water was splashed through the entire place till the fire brigade came in and it took almost three hours to extinguish the entire fire.

Reason that was assumed behind the fire was either a cylinder blast or bursting of AC compressors. According to sources the entire Jaipan Studio had turned to ashes and the approximate losses were somewhere near 40-50 lakhs of rupees. Even Bollywood house which is on the first floor happened to suffer losses as it has got completly blistered and most of the costumes and sets were totally burnt. But no human was burnt or hurt as such.

Havoc was also created at Future studio where a shooting of a Zee Tv daily Rakhi was going on.This studio happens to be next to Jaipan.Muneet a guy from the production informed us that ‘bhaiya ke chhote bhai ka birthday celebration ” which was a very important sequence ,was being shot,and the sets were decorated.But unfortunately due to the fire they had to wind up the shoot. - Preity Punjabi (SAMPURN)
