Sudipto shot the real pooja for SONAGACHI

Director Sudipto Chattopadhyay shot a Durga pooja scene of his film Songachi in actual crowded locales of Kolkatta. Sonagachi, produced by White Feather Films,  is on the lives of prostitutes working the maze of back alleys scattered around the city’s red light district .A source informed, "The Durga Ma pooja is an important part of the film. Sudipto thought that rather than hiring junior artistes and creating an aritificial set that would cost the company huge expenses, why not shoot at the real location in Kolkata,which will be live and real!" Thus Sudipto shot the Durga pooja scene in Kolkatta. When contacted Sudipto confirmed the story and said, "The scene looks so natural.
