Alladin does an Akshay Kumar act
All the stunts shown in the pictures are all done by the artists themselves. In this picture one can see Mandar (Alladin) jumping from one side of the river bank to another, the distance was long but he decided to do the jump and ended up injuring his ankle. Even though he injured his ankle he still decided to continue with the shooting, he could barely walk, but we ended up finishing our schedule that day.
WIDE SHOT OF THE ARTISTS IN SOORAJ TAAPU
The Alladin team had gone to one of the locations to shoot for zafar’s island, Sooraj Taapu. They had used round 200 kilos of dry ice just to create effects in the water. It was a very hot day, the sun was right on our heads and there were no trees or any kind of shade, it was a very difficult sequence which also required a lot of treatment. After all the difficulties we were facing that day, our team managed to finish this sequence in one day. The area was very rocky and in order to take good shots we had to take the camera in the most difficult of places which made it very difficult for the cameraman but still managed to come out with flying colours.
ALLADIN AND ZAFAR FIGHT
This was a location called Malao, which was around 30kms from the studio. It was a very rocky area; it was a part of Sooraj taapu. This sequence was also a very difficult one to shoot for all of us. There was scorching heat and the whole unit was exhausted by the end of it. There were a lot of shots taken of Alladin running; this was right after he had injured his ankle. And he still did the running shots which turned out to be really good.
ALLADIN JUMPING FROM A ROCK
As u can see here is another picture of Alladin jumping from a very high point. There was no safety used, it was very brave of him to take such a risk. In order to take a wide shot of him jumping we didn’t put mattresses or any kind of safety, the height was around 10-12 feet. Mandar again got injured here while taking the jump. -(SAMPURN)
