Urmila Matondkar’s not ready to quit yet!
Urmila Matondkar’s contemporaries like Karisma, Raveena, Twinkle, Sonali Bendre and the like had quit movies long ago choosing to get married and settle down. But not the Marathi mulgi!
The dame’s so in love with Bollywood that she’s still not given marriage a thought!
She continues to happily slog hard for her movies.
Now two of her movies are releasing this month and she’s obviously super excited.
Himesh Reshammiya’s ‘Karzzzz‘ which has Urmila in a negative role and ‘EMI‘ will release on 17th October and 29th October respectively.
The word is that Urmila’s banking heavily on ‘Karzzz‘ as she would be recreating the famous character of Kamini made famous by Simi Garewal in the original. And with Himesh and T series’s pushy ways and powerful marketing, the film might end up as a hit.
On the other hand ‘EMI‘ will revolve around Sanjay Dutt, with actors like Arjun Rampal, Malaika Arora, Aashish Chaudhary and Neha Uberoi also vying for attention.
And it’s not unknown that Urmi baby is desperately looking for a big hit and a role which will get her acclaim for a long time now.
Her last movie was ‘Speed’ which a poor remake of the Hollywood hit ‘Cellular’ and not surprisingly ended up as a huge flop.
Her flabby tummy and dance movements in the Mehbooba song for RGV’s disaster ‘Aag‘ was called vulgar and did no good to her career either.
Before that too her movies like ‘Bas Ek Pal’, ‘Banaras‘ and ‘Naina‘ didn’t grab eyeballs.
Now some singing with Asha Bhonsle and reality TV shows can’t really compensate for the lack of a hit film!
She hasn’t really signed any big film either and is hoping for something drastic to happen and alter fortunes for her!
Wonder if ‘Karzzz‘ or ‘EMI‘ does the trick for her! -(SAMPURN)
Urmila Matondkar is an amazing actress and its just that it’s not her time rite now. Urmila has proved herself earlier and she would once again do the same.
I think she is still the most attrrective and beautiful actress of bollywood. Directors has not explored her fully. I would sit three hrs i Urmila is on the screen.
