Kids feel the reality show heat!
Like other ‘naach gaana reality show’, Zee TV’s reality show ‘Chota Packet Bada Dhamaka’ also seems to be surviving on stunts.
The latest news is that little Dhairya Sonceha broke down after the jury announced their comments after his performance.
This seven year old kid is already a known face thanks to ‘Panchvi Paas’ and many ads and films. Reportedly he couldn’t hold back his tears when the jury gave him negative comments for his performance.
Dhairya’s mother lost heart and said, “Mere bachcha ki umeed toot gayi hai”.
Now that’s such a big statement pertaining to a child.
A child shouldn’t be made to feel hopeless and small on the basis of a performance. There have been debates about how such comments or the format of shows like these, need to be re-looked upon.
In spite of ‘Chhota Packet…’trying out new rules which are easy on the kids, something of this sort has happened.
What made matters worse was Dhairya’s partner Smita Nandi’s mother, calling him a ‘poor performer’ who was ruining her daughter’s chances of winning the competition.
Motor mouth judge Rakhi Sawant who is always ready to comment on such occasions said, “I am very upset with Smita’s mother. She should not have commented on someone else’s performance. There is an age difference between the two one needs to keep a cognizance of.”
Kunal Kolhi who showed his humane side in the show by openly shedding tears recently didn’t stay behind. Especially since he has to be one up on Rakhi who he and fellow judge Annu Kapoor apparently sideline!
He tried to pacify Dhairya and his mother with soothing words and hugs. But to no avail. It was only after about five minutes of crying that the poor little boy was able to regain his composure.
At the end of the day, it’s just another show. The little ones at least deserve to be spared of the cut throat competition and such heart ache! -(SAMPURN)
