Deol Brothers set to Tango on Voice of India
After Friday’s disappointing elimination, the judges and the contestants were in a sore mood until the Deol brothers came in and rocked the evening. For the first time, the Bollywood’s he-man Sunny Deol along with his brother Bobby Deol came on Amul Star Voice of India, Sat, Aug 30th, 10 p.m. only on Star Plus. The contestants welcomed the brother duo singing ‘Dillagi’. The performance brought back the vigor in the show. Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol looked excited about their upcoming movie ‘Chamku’ and spoke about Vijeta Films, their home production completing 25 years. The brothers also spoke to the participants and congratulated them on being able to make it to such a prestigious platform, besides wishing them all the luck to achieve what they have set out for.
Ritisha started off the musical evening as she sang ‘Haayo rabba mai ki karaan’ from Bobby Deol’s upcoming movie Chamku. Ritisha’s heart rendering performance made Sunny nostalgic as he recalled how his dad Dharam ji had contributed to the lyrics of this song. Zakir sang the ultimate Punjabi number of Sunny Deol ‘Mai nikla gaddi le ke’. Sukhwinder Sigh loved his power packed performance and requested him to repeat the song while the Deol brothers went on stage to perform a jig. Another talented contestant Shayantani brought in the romantic mood with her rendition of the soft number ‘Chori chori jub nazrein mili’.
The rockstar Ryan yet again caught the attention of the judges as he performed on ‘Shaka laka boom boom’. Monty Sharma could see the future Voice of India in Rohit as he lend his voice to ‘ya Rabba’ while Vipul dedicated the title track of ‘Apne’ to the entire Deol family. Vipul, being a great fan of Sunny, requested him to perform on the famous Dhai kilo dialogue and Sunny did not disappoint him. Ravi performed on Bobby’s dance number ‘Jhoom barabar jhoom’ and dedicated the song to him. The surili Saptaparna gave her best performance as she sang ‘Tinka Tinka’ while the last contestant Vinti came up with the soft number ‘Meri zindagi me ajnabi ka intezaar hai’.
