Dharmendra wishes Chamku to be a hit like Sholay!

DharmendraProbably father feels the most of his happiness while he finds his son getting success. Papa Dharmendra proves the truth behind that on the occasion of the music release of Vijeta Films produced and Bobby starrer Chamku. It's not Dharmendra's hope but he strongly believes that Chamku will be impugned as a great entertainer like other Vijeta Films' productions have proved in the past.

There are many who think that having an offbeat name which doesn't even hint at the storyline is enough for Chamku to be sidelined by the audience. But Dharmendra seems not believing in the accepted norms of naming films. Like an astrologer the veteran says, "To be a flop or a hit is completely dependent on the luck of the film. But again, if we have to talk about hit and flop better we remember Sholey which was the biggest flop at the beginning and when it starts getting mileage, clinking at the box office never stopped. Maybe Chamku is also fated like that."

Anil Sharma's Apne has already showcased Dharamji with his sons, Sunny and Bobby, and in a forthcoming film by Sangit Sivan he will again be seen with Bobby. In that flick also he will play the role of Bobby's father. Being asked about the flick Dharamji says, "The relationship between son and father is so delicate that inspite of having no intention there remains some unconquerable distance. Father takes care of his children and when those children start taking care of their children they start thinking that father has become a matter of extra burden to them. They all talk about their mother's contribution in their upbringings but forget about father's hand in it."

Having a nostalgic trip Dharamji adds, "I still can remember the days when I came to Mumbai for the first time. I still recognize those days of mine in every newcomer today. Vijeta Films has always been giving chances to new faces. As for example, Amrita Singh was new in Betaab, Barsat introduced new face Twinkle Khanna, Priyanka was new in Big Brother and we introduced Imtiaz Ali as the new director with the film Socha Naa Tha."

"Now the scenario has changed a lot and newcomers nowadays have quite a lot of facilities. In our times we were never even allowed to enter into the studios and we used to roam around on the roads. Now the number of media has increased so much that people have no problem getting famed. If any newcomer shows little spark of possibility in them, then even big banners get easily ready to invest for any project on them. But during our period people had no time to find out sparks in others," concludes Dharamji.
