A Chunky Pandey-ish tribute
Chunky Pandey is doing a caricature of Ram Gopal Varma called Sham Gopal Varma in his forthcoming film Khalbali Re Khalbali. But instead of calling it a caricature, the colourful actor prefers to term it, “a tribute to the maverick maker”.
In the movie, this character will also be fondly addressed as Shamu, again a take-off on Ramu. “Chunky is mad enough to play such roles. Don’t be surprised if you hear him aping Amitabh Bachchan or Shah Rukh Khan next and playing Don,” says a close source.
As for ‘Khalbali Re Khalbali’, the film directed by Ajay Chandok also stars Nikhil Dwivedi, Sada, Sanjay Mishra and Johnny Lever.-(SAMPURN)
