”Why?”, a short film made by Nashik-based Ashish Kulkarni, has been selected for the New York Film festival, to be held from February 28 to March 6 next year.

”The film is an attempt to show that nobody is perfect. It stresses the need to make people aware of their weaknesses. This is the only Indian entry for the festival,” Mr Kulkarni told mediapersons here.

This attempt has received international attention as the film is the only one selected from entries sent by more than fifteen producers from India. The film has been shot entirely in Nashik.
