Teji Bachchan passes away

Teji Bachchan, wife of the late Hindi poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan and mother of Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan, died here Friday after a prolonged illness. She was 93.

She had been at the Leelavati Hospital for over a year and had been suffering from multiple old age related ailments.

Teji Bachchan is survived by her two sons Amitabh and Ajitabh.
