Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt who was granted bail by the Supreme Court in the 1993 serial bomb blasts case recently, today resumed shooting for his pending films.

Dutt had gone on a short holiday to Goa and then to Delhi after his release from the Yerwada jail in Pune.

The actor, convicted and sentenced to six years rigorous imprisonment under the Arms Act in the Mumbai serial blasts case, was lodged at the Yerwada jail in Pune.

A calm and composed Sanjay, sporting a beard, arrived on the sets of Suniel Shetty’s home production ‘Easy Monthly Instalment’ (EMI) at Pali Hill, Bandra in North West Mumbai. He was welcomed by Suneil, and co-actors Arjun Rampal and Ashish Chaudhary.

Talking to reporters on the sets, Dutt said he was happy to be back to work.

”In EMI, I play Sattarbhai, a recovery agent. He is a lovable character,” he added.

Dutt had shot some portions of the film before going to jail on October 22. Urmila Matondkar is cast opposite him. The film is directed by debutant director Saurav Kabra.

The Supreme Court, while granting bail to the actor, had put a condition that he would have to deposit his passport at the special TADA court in Mumbai.

Dutt would also have to report to the CBI Special Task Force in the city once a month.

The underproduction films of Dutt include ‘Mr Fraud’, ‘Kidnap’ and Alibaug, besides EMI.
