We need to raise the standard of TV soaps: Rahul Bhatt
Rahul Bhatt, who got noticed after playing Simone Singh’s unfaithful husband in the TV serial “Heena”, is producing a daily soap “Meri Doli Tere Angana” for Zee TV and wants to set an example for his colleagues.
“We don’t write, produce or direct shows like ‘Xena’ or ‘Sex and the City’ or ‘Friends’. We are guided by the audience’s demand and focus on saas-bahu stories. But we need to grow to meet international standards,” said Rahul.
He shot a special song for his serial.
“The last song was terribly directed so I wanted this song to be better and shot like it’s done in the films. When the whole serial is special, why not the song.”
