Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan says criticism has helped him immensely in his career.

”If it weren’t for them, I don’t think it would have added that little zing in my drive,” said the actor reacting to his detractors who say that he works best with his father Rakesh Roshan.

The actor who touched new heights of superstardom with ‘Dhoom 2′ told filmmaker Karan Johar in his chat show ‘Kofee with Karan’ which will be aired on July 8 on Star One and Star World channels that the manner in which he presented his look in ‘Dhoom 2′ should motivate his male audience.

When asked about her much doubted friendship with Kareena Kapoor, Hrithik’s ‘Krrish’ co-star Priyanka Chopra, who was the other guest on the show said, ”It’s Kareena’s choice if she wants to keep distance. I am not pouncing on her.” She was responding to Karan’s statement on the show that Kareena had told him that their friendship no longer exists. ”She said that she likes you, you are a nice girl, but its best to keep distance,” Karan told Priyanka.

To a question on what went wrong, Priyanka said that her friendship with Kareena still exists and if they are not seen out together these days it was because there was no time. ”It is just that we don’t have the time. In fact Shahid and me are neighbours. I have bought a house where he lives — I will be seeing a lot of him. I’ve been out of town. So we have not really hung out as much.”
