Bipasha Basu to attend New 7 wonders of the world ceremony on July 7
(No Ratings Yet)Rubbing shoulders with the who’s who of film, fashion, sport and entertainment world at the ceremony to announce the new seven wonders of the world at Portugal would be sultry Bipasha Basu.
The new wonders would be unveiled at a spectacular ceremony at Benfica Stadium in Lisbon, Portugal on July 7. (07/07-07) According to a release here, besides the Bollywood star Academy Award winners Hilary Swank and Ben Kingsley will host the show, which will include performances by Jennifer Lopez, Dulce Pontes, Chaka Khan, Jose Carreras, Alessandro Safina and Joaquín Cortés.
Special guests will include legendary astronaut Neil Armstrong, soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo, record-setting balloonist Bertrand Piccard and the President of the New7Wonders Panel of Experts, former Director-General of UNESCO Prof Federico Mayor.
The gala show which will be choreographed by Canada’s renowned Olympic ceremony veteran Jacques Lemay will take place at Portugal’s largest venue, the Estadio da Luz (known to many as Benfica Stadium), starting at 2130 hrs and ending at 2300 hrs. Realizar Impact Marketing will create and produce the event, which will be broadcast around the world.
Some interesting facts about the show are — the stage will measure 10,000 square meters and have the largest backstage area in the world. The sound output will be of 200,000 watts, while there will be 500,000 watts for the lighting, 52 projectors and 1,265 meters of fiber optic cable and five km of cables will make up the lifting systems, and there are over 300 tons of sets and scenic elements.
