History calling Zakir Hussein
(No Ratings Yet)Television actor Zakir Hussein, who challenged Amitabh Bachchan in Ram Gopal Varma’s “Sarkar”, returns to the small screen with “Upnishad Ganga”.
Produced by a Calcutta based Chinmaya Institute and directed by Chandra Prakash Dewivedi, “Upnishad Ganga” is based on stories from the “Vedas”, “Purans” and mythological and historical books.
This serial will depict the life of some great personalities and Zakir is roped in to play Dara Shikoh, the eldest son of Shahajahan, and Maharishi Valmiki - a dacoit who had transformed into a great monk and wrote the epic “Ramayana”.
The actor also has quite a few films lined up for release such as “Johnny Gaddaar”, “Fauj Mein Mauj”, “Fool ‘N’ Final” and Varma’s “Darling” & “Sholay”.
