Sand artist’s sculpture of Abhi-Ash wedding on Puri beach
Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik has carved out sculptures of Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai on Puri beach and wants to present this unique gift to the Bollywood actors.
A red heart beautifully rests between the giant faces of the actors, who are due to tie the knot today.
Patnaik carved out the bewitching sculpture on Thursday and now, wants to send a few photographs of it to the Bachchans.
“I want to gift the couple 50 tons of sand from this beach. And I am going to gift them the sand through my artistic expression. I have tried to carve out the entire wedding ceremony right here on the beach. Most people would not be able to witness the actual wedding, but they can come here and watch the ceremony through my sculptures. I also wish to send the photographs of this sculpture to Amitabh Bachchan,” he said.
“We are very happy that today Abhishek and Aishwarya are getting married. The sculpture which Sudarshan Patnaik has carved out is simply amazing,” Pranati Prusty, a local said.
The wedding is top news for the celebrity-obsessed Indian media on Friday.
