After making rounds of International film festivals and winning numerous awards in India and abroad, International festival circuit, Rituparno Ghosh’s ‘Black and White Marvel’ ‘Dosar’ and Raju Hirani’s ”modern take on Gandhism” ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ have been invited for the prestigious Cannes Film festival to be held next month.
Also featuring at the Cannes film festival will be Ashutosh Gowarikar’s period venture ‘Jodha Akbar’.
While ‘Dosar’, ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ and ‘Guru’ have been chosen to be screened in the Tous les Cinemas du Monde section of the Cannes Film festival, ‘Josha Akbar’ will have its premiere at the 12-day film festival that gets underway on May 16.

Also being screened as part of the ‘Tous les Cinemas du Monde’ section, whose ambition is to illustrate the vitality and diversity of cinema throughout the world, the dynamism of its young creative talent and the involvement of its institutions in promoting international cinema, will be the best of regional films of India.
Starring the talented Konkona Sen Sharma and superstar of West Bengal, Prosenjit Chatterjee, ‘Dosar’ has been produced by Planman Motion Pictures of Management Guru Arindham Chaudhury.
Released in cinema halls last year, ‘Dosar’ stands due to Rituparno’s attempt to recreate ‘Black and White’ in this modern era of colour films and ’state-of-the-art’ special effects.
