Nadeem withdraws petition seeking quashing of warrant
Music composer Nadeem today withdrew his application before the Bombay High Court seeking the quashing of an Interpol Red Corner Notice and a non-bailable warrant issued against him for his alleged involvement in the murder of former T-series chief Gulshan Kumar.
Nadeem’s father, Yusuf Saifee, had made the application in the High Court, saying that the two notices against his son had hindered him from travelling outside Britain, where he has taken asylum.
The Red Corner Notice and the warrant had been issued against Nadeem in September 1997 for his alleged involvement in the murder case.
Nadeem’s extradition from Britain was stopped by an order of that country’s Supreme Court after his lawyers pleaded that the Indian judicial system was not fair.
