Khushbu to give away IIFC-2007 awards

The awards in various categories for the 100-odd documentary films from 33 countries being screened at the International Festival of Short Films would be given away by South Indian actress Khushbu here tomorrow.

The jury for IFFC-2007 is headed by veteran filmmaker Basu Chaterjee and would select films in categories like ‘best narrative’, ‘best experimental film’, ‘best national’ and ‘best international film’, organising chairman Devendra Khandelwal said today.

The 3-day festival was inaugurated actor-producer Shashi Kapoor with the screening of Pakistani short film ‘Taller Than The Mountain’ yesterday.

It showcases 100 documentary films depicting the culture of 33 countries, including Australia, Iran and Brazil.
