Jazzy flees after receiving legal notice from Shilpa
(No Ratings Yet)After receiving a legal notice from Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, Jasveer ‘Jazz’ Barton, who was instrumental in getting her “Celebrity Big Brother” show, has fled the country.
The actress, who won the show with a majority votes, sent a legal notice to Jazz and Bobby Khan Monday for badmouthing her and her family in the media and posing as her agent.
“Rohini Vakil, who is Shilpa’s lawyer, sent the notice on her behalf. She sent it last evening and it was received by Jazz. Her signature is on the proof of delivery. Few hours after receiving the summons, she packed her bags and left the country because she knew she will get into trouble,” Dale Bhagwagar, Shilpa’s publicity manager told IANS.
“She has told newspapers in London that Shilpa’s mother has come to here to milk her daughter’s success. She also signed deals and took money on Shilpa’s behalf posing as her legal agent, which she isn’t,” added Bhagwagar.
Referring to an article published in a newspaper, the notice said that Shilpa was shocked to find the article on the front page of Mumbai Mirror, reporting that she has duped Bobby and Jazz.
After accepting the offer to appear on the reality show, Shilpa signgd a contract with the Endemol, producers of the show. However, the actress did not get into any kind of agreement with Bobby and Jazz to represent her or act in the capacity of her agents or managers etc.
“We are sending a follow-up notice to Jazz. As she has fled the country, it will be sent to her London address. We will not succumb to her demands. Her fleeing the country proves that she was wrong,” said Bhagwagar.
