An Evening with Renowned Bollywood singer Kavita Krishnamurti at Siri Fort
A voluntary organization called Circle of Animal Lovers arranged an evening with renowned Bollywood singer Kavita Krishnamurti at Siri Fort Auditorium. This was an attempt to raise funds for the organization which is working for animals.
On this occasion Kavita Krishnamurti said, 'I come to now about this organization through my sister Nandita Ahlawat and I thought that this is the way in which I can help the animals and I agreed to do this concert as a charity. Every one will be busy in there livelihood. I too will be busy with my recordings, traveling etc. I can be there physically to stop a vehicle which is crushing an animal. But I can help them by rising funds for the charity which is working for animals. And she thanked all the band members (Satish & Band) name by name who came all long the way from Chennai to Delhi for this concert.
She started her concert with her Careers first song 'Om Namashivaya' which she sang for Music Director Laxhmi Kanth in the film 'Bhairavi'. Her all time favorite 'Pyar Hua Chupke Se' from '1942 A love Story', 'Humpe Ye Kisne Hara Rang Dala' from 'Devdas', 'Tumhari Adavon Pe Main Vari Vari' from 'Mangal Pandey', a song from 'Zubeda'- 'Dheeme Dheeme Gau', 'Nimbuda Nimbuda' from 'Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam', 'Aaj Main Upar' from film 'Khamoshi', 'Koi Milgaya' from 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' in this song Abhijeet Ghosal accompanied her for the male voice. She concluded the concert with 'I Love My India' from 'Pardes'.
Founder and Chairperson of Circle of Animal Lovers Irani Mukharjee said, animals are the creation of God. And we don't have any right to destroy them with our arrogance towards them. This organization is serving animals since 1992. We are very thankful to Kavita Krishnamurti who agreed to give a concert for this holy cause for the third time since 1993. We are looking forward for artists like Kavita who can help for this kind of charity.
Narendra Bhansali the Mimicry and Announcer entertained the audience with his Mimicry. Other persons present at concert were singer Abhijeet Ghosal, Kavita Krishnamuriti's elder sister Nandita Ahlawat. Nandita said, Kavita was very much found of music from her child hood she won Gold Medal as first prize at 'Rabinder Sangeet' at the age of 4. Artist can't be made by some one they have to born.
