Vande Matram Movie

A film based on the national song `Vande Matram’ will be produced by Sarprakashan Sanchar Kendra, set up by Divine Word Society, an international Catholic religious group for promoting national integration.

“The media house set up in the year 1981, will be producing in the coming years a film on our national song, Vande Matram and another research film on religious practices and rituals of all religions of our land for promoting better understanding among peoples and for national integration,” Father Jomon James, director of the Kendra told reporters here today.

James said the Kendra will be celebrating its silver jubilee on January 14. Madhya Pradesh Governor, Balram Jakhar will pay a visit to the centre on that day and later participate in a function to mark the occasion.

The centre has also produced musical programmes based on Bhilali and Bhili tribal languages, besides producing humanitarian and youth-oriented radio programmes in Hindi for Akashwani and Radio Veritas, Asia, he added.
