Britain’s Channel 4, facing flak over racial bullying of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty on its ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ series, landed in a fresh row after a teenager aired strong racist views on a new reality show.

“Shipwrecked” star Lucy Buchanan, 18, last night said black people were “really bad”, fat people were “disgusting” and criticised gays.

The schoolgirl told fellow contestants: “I’m for the British Empire and things. I’m for slavery.” Lucy’s foul comments emerged as C4 bosses apologised for beauty therapist Jade Goody’s onslaught on Shetty and insisted, “all board members of Channel 4 abhor racism.” The broadcaster said it was launching a review into the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ show after the racist abuse sparked an international row.

Outraged MPs could not believe that Channel 4 broadcast a similar tirade so soon after Jade’s ugly behaviour.

Labour MP Shahid Malik said, “They seem to have learned nothing. These remarks are blatantly racist and offensive.” Lucy’s mother Nicola said: “She’s not a racist. But she does have a big mouth.”
