Sanjay Dutt interacts orphanage

Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, who gained more popularity with the movie ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ interacted with children at the St. Catherine’s Orphanage here.

The children expressed jubilation at seeing their favourite star, greeting him with hugs and handing over bouquets of flowers to him.

Sanjay sat through a dance performance of girls featuring popular Bollywood songs.

“We were not supposed to know that Sanjay Dutt was coming. It was a big surprise for us, and coincidently, we performed on his song. It’s like a dream come true,” said Sunaina.

The head of St. Catherine’s Orphanage, Sister Tressa, said she was glad that Sanjay Dutt had agreed to visit here and interact with children.

“We are very happy that Sanjay Dutt agreed to come. We’ll be very happy if he comes for children’s performances too,” said Sister Tressa.

Sanjay also visited the Mount Mary Church in suburban Bandra where he offered prayers. After paying his obeisance at the Church, he headed to ‘Shanti Avedhna,’ a home for cancer and AIDS patients.

Sanjay has been visiting several religious places after a TADA court cleared him of charges of conspiracy in a series of bomb blasts that rocked Mumbai on March 12, 1993, but found him guilty of violating the Arms Act.
