Pooja Bhatt injured in road accident
(No Ratings Yet)Actress Pooja Bhatt today sustained minor injuries when the car in which she was travelling collided with another vehicle here.
“She suffered minor injuries to her head. But it is nothing serious. There is no need to worry,” Goa’s police chief Ujjawal Mishra told PTI.
Pooja’s father, filmmakare Mahesh Bhatt, said she had been kept for observation in a private nursing home in Panaji.
“I spoke to her husband who was by her side. She was bleeding profusely and the bleeding has stopped. I will wait for the doctor to give a bulletin but it will be fair to conclude that she is…Not as serious as thought initially,” he said in Mumbai.
The 34-year-old actress was on her way to board a flight for Mumbai after attending the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) here when the mishap occurred two kilometres from the airport this afternoon, Superintendent of Police Shekhar Prabhudeshai said.
“A foreigner who was in the car that dashed against Pooja Bhatt’s vehicle was also injured,” Prabhudeshai said.
The driver of the vehicle that hit Pooja’s car was detained, Mishra said.
Both vehicles were badly damaged in the accident.
