MP demands Padmashree for Lage Raho Munnabhai

Makers of “Lage Raho Munna Bhai”, the film which created awareness about Gandhiji especially for younger generation, today got a support from a lawmaker who demanded that they should be awarded Padmashree on the Republic Day.

In his Special Mention in Rajya Sabha, Shantaram Naik, Congress, said “no books written on Gandhiji could make inroads into minds of teenagers ase, the duty of Government to encourage such activities. The Producer and Director of Lage Raho Munnabhai should be awarded Padmashree on the occasion of the coming Republic Day,” said the Congress MP.

Vidhu Vinod Chopra is the Producer of the movie starring Sanjay Dutt while Raj Kumar Hirani is the Director.
