Eros and Anytime partner to provide video services

Media conglomerate Eros International today said it has signed a deal worth 2.1 million pounds (about Rs 183.70 crore) with Singapore-based entertainment company, Anytime, to provide bollywood content on demand in 14 Asia-Pacific countries.

As per the deal, Eros would launch its Bollywood video on demand (VOD) services in as many as 14 countries in the Asia Pacific region where Anytime has a license to operate, the company said in a release.

Eros would also take a minority stake in the Singapore- based company, the release said.

“Anytime’s Hollywood digital entertainment services, technical programming and marketing skills complement Eros’ strategic vision for expanding choice for consumers in India,” Eros International CMD Kishore Lulla said.

Anytime and Eros are also planning to enter into a joint-venture to license and distribute Hollywood content for VOD in India, the release added.
