Discovery to air film
Discovery Channel will air a special four-part programme on Chhattisgarh on consecutive weekends beginning Dec 9 to showcase the state’s culture, wildlife and many tribes.
The programme “Chhattisgarh - The Tribal Planet” explores the state’s “inimitable and unexplored attractions and will serve as a gateway for eco- and ethno-tourists from across India,” said Deepak Shourie, managing director, Discovery Networks India. The programme will be aired Dec 9, 10, 16 and 17 at 10 p.m.
It will cover many places including, Raipur, Kawardha, Bhoramdev, Kumhapura, Jagdalpur, Kanger national park and Chitrakote water falls besides the Bastar tribes, tribal weekly markets, villages and craft centres.
