Big B films given tax rebates in 2004-05
(No Ratings Yet)As many as six films starring matinee idol Amitabh Bachchan were exempted from entertainment tax in Uttar Pradesh in the years 2004 and 2005.
Two Raj Babbar starrers and a Manoj Bajpai film were also exempted from entertainment tax during the same period, Minister of State for tax dinesh singh said in a written reply in the state vidhan sabha today.
The minister also informed that a total of 32 films were exempted from entertainment tax from January 1, 2004 to December 31, 2005.
Singh said the exchequer would have gained Rs 5.06 crore in the form of tax receipts had these films not been exempted.
