Vidhu Vinod Chopra honoured

Bollywood producer cum-director Vidhu Vinod Chopra, whose “Lage Raho Munnabhai” was a blocbuster, was today conferred with the Sunil Dutt Memorial Punjab Rattan Award by Punjab government.

Kerala Governor R L Bhatia and Punjab Parliamentary Secretary for Higher Education Raj Kumar conferred the award on Chopra at a function here.

Member Parliament Priya Dutt, sister of actor Sanjay Dutt who plays the lead role in “Lage Raho Munnabhai” and Yoga Guru Swami Ram Dev were also present on the occasion.

An all-religion prayer was also performed for the well being of Sanjay Dutt who awaits verdict by a TADA court in 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.
