Sukhwinder’s solo pop album
The “Chaiya Chaiya” guy Sukhwinder Singh today unveiled his solo pop-album “Is Dil Se, Love never dies” here.
Still basking in the glory of his first success “Chaiya Chaiya”, the singer chose to name his new album “Is Dil Se” as he wanted it to sound familiar. “I thought it will help my listeners relate to the album,” he said.
The song from Mani Ratnam’s Dil Se created waves not only in India, but was also the number one song for 10 consecutive weeks on the UK top-ten.
The eight tracks of “Is Dil Se” have been penned by lyricist Sameer and composed by Singh himself.
Enthusiastic about his new ventures like Madhuri Dixit starrer “Kaafila”, “Rehguzar” and “Ek Dastak”, Sukhwinder is confident that his new album will also be successful like “Bidi jalay le” (Omkara).
