Salman Khan Court Case deferred
The Rajasthan High Court on Thursday deferred the hearing in the poaching case against bollywood actor Salman Khan and six other accused till December 18.
Salman and others, during the shooting of the movie Hum Saath Saath Hain in 1998, allegedly poached two chinkaras in Bhavad village near Jodhpur.
A lower court in Jodhpur had sentenced Salman one year imprisonment in the blackbuck poaching case in February this year. He was booked under the Wildlife Protection Act. The court also directed him to pay a fine of Rs 5000.
Six others accused in the case, namely Saif Ali Khan, Satish Shah, Sonali Bendre, Tabu and Neelam Kothari had been acquitted by the court.
Last year, in the month of June, Saif Ali Khan’s father and cricket legend, Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi, was charged with killing blackbuck, an endangered species, in Haryana.
