Aishwarya Rai avoids the media

Mediapersons at a hotel at a place, nearly 30km from here, returned empty-handed today after a long wait for a word from Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai on the issue of Customs department’s seeking to question her in connection with a packet in her name containing foreign currency.
Rai, after reaching the hotel at around 8pm with her security personnel, took a different entry into her room, avoiding the media.
Hari Singh, Rai’s secretary, when asked to arrange for an interaction with her to comment on the parcel issue, told PTI over phone from Mumbai that “I can’t assure you anything but you have to take a chance at the hotel”.
