Sanjay Dutt’s Village Offers Prayers
Villagers of Chilbila village, the birth place of actor Sanjay Dutt’s mother late Nargis Dutt, have been praying during the month of Ramzaan, for Sanjay Dutt’s acquittal in the 1993 Mumbai bomb blast case.
The villagers are praying for Sanjay Dutt’s acquittal with the hopes that once released, he will come to fulfil his late father Sunil Dutt’s dream to uplift the village’s infrastructure.
Although, at present none of the immediate relations of Nargis Dutt are residing in the village, the linage and emotional linkage of villagers towards Sanjay Dutt still exists.
“We hope that once Sanjay Dutt is acquitted, he will visit the Chilbila village that is the birth place of his mother. We expect him to understand the emotions of the villagers and visit us soon after his release,” observed Jaishankar Bharati, a villager.
Chilbila residents offered a ‘Chadar’ at the Dargah of the village’s Pir, to ensure safe release of ‘child of the village’.
Sunil Dutt had established a hospital dedicated to his late wife Nargis Dutt which unfortunately, is in ruins now.
Villagers expect Sanjay Dutt to fulfil his father Sunil Dutt’s dream of the village’s development.
“Sunil Dutt’s dream is yet to be fulfilled. We want Sanjay Dutt, to come and undertake the responsibility of village hospital and schools which need to be taken care of,” said Mansood Ahmad Ansari, another villager.
“We want him to fulfill his father’s dream,” said Iyshray Ali, Pradhan of Chilbila.
Not only the people of Chilbila, a whole lot of Sanjay Dutt’s friends and fans are waiting for the judgment of 1993 Mumbai serial blasts case.
TADA Judge P.D. Kode has commenced issuing the orders of his judgement and Sanjay Dutt’s fate is yet to be pronounced.
