Pakistani cricketers are huge fans of SRK
Many players in the current Pakistani cricket team seem to be big fans of Bollywood star Shahrukh Khan.
“I watched the movie Don and liked it very much. My father and Shahrukh’s father also enjoyed good relations,” Pakistan captain Younis Khan said the other day.
Today, it was the turn of the team’s bowling coach Waqar Younis to go all out in praise of the ‘King Khan’ as Shahrukh is referred to by his fans.
“Shahrukh is a great actor. The whole team watched Shahrukh’s movie ‘Don’ and liked it very much. It’s a good movie and he is very impressive. He is a great actor, no doubt about that,” Waqar told reporters here on the sidelines of his team’s football game this evening.
He said his team also planned to watch another couple of Bollywood movies before their game against New Zealand at Mohali on October 25.
The former Pakistani speedster also had a word of praise for the Indian hospitality.
“Indian hospitality is always amazing. We enjoy every bit of it. We go shopping here and to theatres for watching movies. I must say that we feel good whenever we come to India,” he said.
Asked about his team’s plans to celebrate Eid, he said, “we have not decided anything specific. Let’s see..” About Diwali, he said, “we know Diwali in India is like Eid in Pakistan”.
