Govt Support must for growth of Haryanvi Cinema
(No Ratings Yet)The government must provide financial aid to Haryanvi cinema to save its fledging fortune, national-award winning director Ashwani Chaudhary said.
The state government did not even grant entertainment tax exemption to his film, Lado, inspite of the fact that the movie had bagged the country’s top honours in cinema, he said.
Asked why Harayanvi cinema was not growing, he said the state was a small territory and filmmakers were unable to recover even the investment made in producing the film and stressed the importance of government support in the form of financial incentives for the growth of Haryanvi cinema.
