Television Actress Indira to play insecure wife
Versatile television actress Indira Krishnan is set to make an appearance in Sanjay Badwa’s new show for STAR One “Saathi Re”. The show will go on air Oct 10.
Indira, who will play Kiran Karmakar’s wife (Om of “Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki”) and mother of newcomer Parak Madan, is thrilled to have bagged the role.
“It’s a nice soap which would appeal to all, especially women. It is more of a family story, which touches upon college life. It includes a lot of newcomers and fresh faces,” said Indira.
The promos of the show are already on air.
Indira dislikes playing stereotypical roles and detests being trapped in a set image.
“Playing the same monotonous roles kills creativity,” remarked Indira.
These days she is seen as the sweet and intelligent mother of Ananya in Sony Television’s “Ek Ladki Anjaani Si” but in “Saathi Re” she will feature as an insecure wife who is dominated by her husband.
To her, acting is like an art, where artists showcase their creativity and don’t see it as just another career move.
If the role is demanding, Indira is willing to give it a shot without worrying about monetary considerations.
