Struggling Indian model arrested for killing live-in partner

A struggling model was arrested today for allegedly killing his live-in partner, who was an upcoming model, officials said here.

Kunwarsingh alias Deepak Rawat, 26, was arrested early this morning for allegedly murdering Trupti alias Shilpa Mandal, 22, Deputy Commissioner of Police V K Choubey told PTI.

Mandal was allegedly murdered by Rawat on September 9, and the latter was arrested today after a complaint by the victim’s brother, Choubey said adding that the post mortem report also suggested foul play.

Rawat would be produced in a local court today and investigations were on to ascertain the motive behind the murder, Choubey added.
