NSUI workers protest usage of word `Gandhigiri’ in Lage Raho
Activists of National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) and Youth Congress today protested against the use of word `Gandhigiri’ in the latest Hindi movie ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’ and burnt an effigy of the film director and its posters here.
The activists described the term as a “disrespect” towards the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi and demanded its deletion from the Sanjay Dutt-starrer and Rajkumar Hirani- directed hit movie.
They warned of disrupting the film’s shows if their demand was not met. The workers were led by Deepak Chabra, State Secretary of NSUI, the students’ wing of Congress.
