Saumya takes a tumble during shoot
(No Ratings Yet)Television actress Saumya Tandon aka Rusty of “Aisa Des Hai Mera” on Sony TV tumbled down the stairs during a shoot.
Though she didn’t suffer any major injury, she landed up with an injured back, few bruises and a nagging pain and despite all that, she went on to complete the scene.
“I went to the doctor and he did an X-Ray and luckily there were no fractures, but I was in a lot of discomfort and could hardly walk. But I wanted to continue my shoot. I know how valuable time is,” said Saumya who was back on the sets the next day for a dance sequence.
The incident took place at Kamalistan Studios where a scene required Saumya to run down a flight of stairs. However, she slipped and came crashing down.
Recalling the incident, Saumya said: “This scene had me coming face-to-face with Samay (Gaurav Chopra) and it was raining heavily. I was struggling with my dupatta and umbrella at the same time. My dupatta flies off and Gaurav comes to my rescue and returns my dupatta, after which I run away from him down the stairs. All I know is that I crashed right to the bottom of the stairs.”
Producer Manish Goswami of Siddhant Cinevision, which has churned out hit
TV series like “Sarrkkar”, “Kitty Party”, “Daraar” and ongoing “Kittu Sab Janti Hai”, was full of praises for Saumya.
“Despite the injury, she continued shooting and was very sporting about the special dance sequence,” said Goswami. — IANS
