Munnabhai hits the airwaves
It was an unusual team of Lage Raho Munnabhai, who launched the music of the film at a Mumbai radio station.
There was actor Boman Irani, music composer Shantanu Moitra, and lyricist Swanand Kirkire in attendance.
And if the song Pal Pal seems a tad familiar to you then rack your brains and you will soon remember Cliff Richard’s number You are my theme for a dream.
Well maybe that was the reason why the music composer made a quick getaway and left Irani to field all the questions from the media.
“There is some music for the album to sell and there is some music for the movie to do well,” Irani said.
Well anything to make the film commercially viable.
And if you think Irani’s Dr Asthana character is resurrected in the sequel then you are mistaken, this time he’s playing a different role.
“There is no Dr Asthana and I play a family man, his name is Lucky Singh,” Irani said.
So even if Lage Raho Munnabhai doesn’t take off where Munnbhai MBBS ends, the makers promise that the sequel too will be a laugh riot.
