Aamir Khan beat Johnny Depp in Britain. Fanaa grossed a record 300000 pounds — much more than what the Johnny Depp film The Libertine collected there. As such Bollywood movies in Britain have killed the local film industry there as much as how Hollywood films have done so. India is the only coutry where Hollywood has not ben able to over power the local films by getting only 5 — 8 percent of total collections. And Britain too is falling prey to Bollywood. A total of 74 Indian films managed to release in Britain in 2005, with the British productions being just 61; Also nine movies from Bollywood made it to the top 10 in the same period as opposed to just seven British ones. Out of the 20 most successful foreign language films in the UK last year, eleven turned out to be from Bollywood.
