To make it big in Bollywood is definitely an arduous task, especially if you have no filmi connection. To get to the pinnacle of stardom is no cakewalk and to retain the numero uno position is even more challenging. Call it luck or hard work, for some actors their very debut films have struck gold at the box office. For instance, though Amjad Khan made his debut in HINDUSTAN KI KASAM, he rose to instant fame after essaying the iniquitous character in the magnum opus SHOLAY and is till date fondly remembered as ‘Gabbar Singh’, which actually makes it his debut film.Salman Khan became a heartthrob of zillions after MAINE PYAR KIYA, which was his debut film in the true sense of the word. (He had a miniscule role in BIWI HO TO AISI) The movie is still fresh in the minds of the audience and they can undoubtedly watch it over and over again with the same amount of zest that existed the first time they’d seen it.

Likewise Hrithik Roshan won accolades for his spectacular performance in his debut film KAHO NA PYAAR HAI. People just couldn’t stop raving about him and they only wanted more of him. 

So all you debutantes out there make sure you muscle your way through in your very first film… and then there’s just no looking back!
