Rituparna Sengupta on a high!
(No Ratings Yet)Bong babe Rituparna Sengupta has already carved a niche for herself in Bengal. The National Award winning actress (DAHAN) seems upbeat about her forthcoming music video with Ashmit Patel. “It is based on one of Rabindranath Tagore’s songs. Ashmit plays an artist, sketching an image on the canvas and I appear as the dream girl in his life. Its a theme translation in Hindi by Javed Akhtar and directed by Ujjwal Chatterjee. It’s a beautiful concept and hopefully we’ll be able to reach out to many people,” gushes Rituparna.She is presently shooting for Manish Gupta’s SAAB CHAI PANI with Om Puri and Sonu Sood. As for Bhupendra Gupta’s UNNS she says “It’s a musical tender love story starring Sanjay Kapoor, Sudhanshu Pandey and Juhi Babbar. UNNS is an Arabic word which means love. I play Riya Malhotra, a model who’s soft-spoken, sensitive and vulnerable. She falls for a man but to her dismay he’s already married. Juhi plays my close friend in the film.”
She also has an English film titled HIDDEN in the offing, which is scheduled to go on floors this August.
